- Har forsøkt å gjøre obduksjon vakkert
Norsk regissør hylles for Hollywood-skrekk.
André Øvredal (43) har ikke laget spillefilm siden publikumssuksessen Trolljegeren i 2010. 13. januar har osingen norgespremiere på sin første Hollywood-produksjon "The Autopsy of Jane Doe".
The New York Times:
The Autopsy of Jane Doe´raises mighty goose bumps. Gruesome without being gory. The feature directed by André Ovredal is a shivery tour thorugh a woman´s innards at a morgue, and it achieves real scares with a minimum of special effects.
Variety:
The thrill ride that is “Autopsy of Jane Doe” is so much fun. Script and direction strike a nice balance between macabre humor and pure suspense, with the very able lead thesps hitting droll notes without ever diluting the material by camping it up.
RogerEbert.com:
The Autopsy of Jane Doe is basically a great haunted house movie - the house just happens to be the morgue.
Entertainment Weekly:
You could do a lot worse than this effective little chiller from the director of the 2010 Norwegian cult cheapie, Trollhunter.
Paste Magazine:
The Autopsy of Jane Doe is remarkably graceful, and even respectful of it eponymous character.
IGN.com:
An unexpected, horrifying treat. If there was only one word to describe The Autopsy of Jane Doe, it would be "effective." Featuring stellar performances from both Emile Hirsch and Brian Cox, the film marks yet another exciting addition to André Øvredal’s growing resume.
SlashFilm.com:
Andre Øvredal´s "The Autopsy of Jane Doe" is smart, clever and truly terrefying.
