Riley (Aly Michalka), a lively and witty young woman who is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, departs to Sequoia National Park, where she plans to take matters into her own hands. With her camera in tow, she decides to film the last days of her life as a farewell note to her estranged and dysfunctional family, including her aggrieved mother Bev (Joey Lauren Adams) and her deadbeat father Oscar (Todd Lowe). Along the way, Riley meets Ogden (Dustin Milligan), an introspective musician. When Ogden discovers Riley’s plan, he makes it his goal to change her mind.
