Madhavan (Prabhu) is a lawyer. His big family includes parents, two sisters and a brother. Circumstances force him to marry Abirami. Later Madhavan conducts the wedding of his sisters. He and Abirami are unable to consummate their marriage due to problems at home. How the couple manage to enjoy the basic pleasures of married life forms the rest of the narration.
